Main project features: 

The project “Child’s rights in coffee sourcing sector in DakLak, Vietnam” (Lavazza project in short), which is implemented by Save the Children Viet Nam (SC), aims at increasing awareness on child rights with the focus on child protection and right to education to wide range of targets including children, parents, local government and businesses in the coffee production areas in central of Vietnam. In April 2021, DEPOCEN conducted a baseline survey on 133 children from 6 – 18 years old, local communities (parents, teachers, health workers) and relevant stakeholders (business staff, local government, and CSOs) in 6 selected communes in Dak Lak province.

The overall objective of the baseline study is to capture the current situation of children’s involvement in coffee production and sourcing and the impact of this involvement on the children and their rights, to assess level of awareness and implementation of child’s rights of local children, parents, communities as well as local government

Activities performed: Desk review of project documents; preparing data collection instruments and training materials; data cleaning; data analysis; and report production.
