Main project features:

In recent years, Vietnam in general and Quang Ninh province in particular has many attempts in promoting gender equality and eliminating gender-based violence (GBV) as well as violence against women and girls (VAWG). In this context, within the framework of UNFPA support to Viet Nam in the period 2017-2021, UNFPA has been supporting Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) to implement the project “Raising Public Awareness on Gender-Based Violence, especially Sexual Violence Against Women and Girls in Viet Nam”, funded by KOICA and conducted in Hanoi, Quang Ninh and some selected industrial zones nearby Quang Ninh province.

From June to November in 2021, DEPOCEN conducted an end-line survey for measuring the impact the project has contributed to bringing about after more than 3 years implementing project interventions on VAWG; and provide relevant stakeholders with lessons learnt, good practices and recommendations for consideration for nationwide application
